    Wow- I hadn’t heard this! Aloe vera is also a great home remedy for cold sores. It’s gentle on irritated skin- very calming. It reduces inflammation and fights infection, speeding the healing process. There are lots of products out there that contain aloe, but I think it’s best in its purest form, straight from the plant.
